ired of being dragged through every walk? Our Loose Lead Walking Tune-Up is a practical, one-to-one training session for owners who want calmer, easier and more enjoyable walks with their dog. This is not generic obedience training or a long, complicated programme. It is a focused walking session designed to show you what is actually going wrong on the lead and how to start fixing it with clear, repeatable tools. We look at the full picture: your handling, your dog’s movement, lead tension, excitement, frustration, reward timing, distractions, equipment and the habits that have built up over time. The aim is not to create a robotic dog. The aim is to help you and your dog understand each other better, reduce pulling, improve focus and make walks feel more controlled, calm and enjoyable. This session is coached by Carl, using practical trainer-led handling experience from thousands of hours working with dogs in real outdoor environments. The focus is on what works outside, not just what looks good in a training hall. During the session, we may cover: lead handling reducing pulling reward timing engagement outdoors calmer starts to the walk owner body position changing direction effectively managing excitement and frustration building focus around distractions suitable equipment where appropriate a simple practice plan to continue with This is ideal for dogs who are generally manageable but need a clearer walking system, better lead manners, improved focus or a calmer routine. It is also useful for Simply Spoilt members who want their dog’s skills to support calmer group adventures, better social neutrality and easier day-to-day handling. Please note, this is not designed for severe reactivity, aggression or dogs who are unsafe to handle in normal walking environments.
